This documentary unveils the unbelievable situation of communities around the world victimized by climate changes and environmental disasters. Global warming, a central theme in today’s society, is producing refugees, victims of overpopulation, lack of resources and climate changes. Director Michael Nash has travelled the world and interviewed several of the 25 million refugees of global warming. The film also features statements by scholars, academics and politicians on a topic that is fast becoming one of mankind’s greatest challenges. Official selection at Cannes 2010.
Michael P. Nash
Born in the US. He has directed two fictional feature-length films, Nebraska (2001) and Fuel (2008). His studies on migration in relation to global warming led him to COP15 -- The United Nations Climate Change Conference – in 2009, where he helped the UN handle the theme. He has participated in the Sundance Film Festival with the documentary Climate Refugees (2010), defined by Robert Redford as a “possible agent for social change”.
