The Master Returns: Five Hitchcock classics

The screening of five bfi restored Alfred Hitchcock silent classics began on Wednesday with the screening of Blackmail at  at Estação Botafogo. Easy Virtue screened Thursday at 19.00, followed by Champagne on Friday, The Farmer's Wife on Saturday and The Manxman on Sunday, all at 17.00. The screenings will be accompanied by pianist Cadu Pereira.

The restoration was undertaken by the BFI National Archive in association with STUDIOCANAL. Principal restoration funding was provided by The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and The Film Foundation. Additional funding provided by Deluxe 142, Pia Getty, Col & Karen Needham, and the Dr Mortimer & Theresa Sackler Foundation.
