Saturday. 5 October, sees the focus at RioMarket moves from industry to the art of filmmaking. Starting with director Hsu Chien who will share his experiences and techniques for inserting comedy and humour into his films. Jorge Allen will then demonstrate a variety of techniques for prosthetics and the creation of blood spurts for horror films, while Paulo Fontenelle and Gustavo Martinez will explore the particularities and difficulties of producing films in the horror genre. 


Director of photography Renato Falcão will explore and explain the principles of cinematography applied to the world of animation, highlighting the use of light, colour and composition to intensify narrative and emotion in animated productions, and also explore the techniques and challenges of filming using only natural light. Aline Belli and Gustavo Martínez will discuss the creative richness and elements involved in developing animated projects. 


Abraão Oliveira will share his personal and professional journey to become a director of photography and discuss the challenges he faced, the lessons he learnt and the experiences that shaped his artistic vision. There will also be presentations on the techniques for acting in cinema, TV and the web.
