Because of municipal elections taking place across Brazil on 6 October, that saw the existing mayor of Rio Eduardo Paes, re-elected, activities at RioMarket in the Armazem da Utopia, were mainly scheduled for the afternoon. Cininha de Paula and Charles Daves offered an introduction in to the world of acting. With their vast experience in directing and acting, Cininha and Charles, shared techniques, insights and exercises that covered everything from character preparation and development to acting on stage.
Later in the day a seminar addressed the impact of women in the costume department presenting the experiences and difficulties faced in the fashion market within cinema and television, discussing the importance of having women in the visual construction of characters and narratives. This was followed with directors Rosane Svartman, Susanna Lira and Yasmin Thayná discussing the. importance of women in the audiovisual industry. The speakers shared their experiences and challenges in an area historically dominated by men, highlighting the female role in the market.
