For the fifth year Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin will present the best of the Festival do Rio, including O Som ao Redor (Neighboring Sounds), the winning entry from 2012, and the film that is representing Brazil at the Academy Awards.

Première Brasil in Berlin is a result of the cooperation between HKW and the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, with the kind support of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry and the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin.

The feature films and documentaries on the Première Brasil program in Berlin cover some of the current controversial issues in Brazilian society.
