Films screening in competition in Première Brasil at the Odeon Petrobras on Sunday include at 17.00the documentaryCativas, presas pelo coração (Captive Hearts) by Joana Nin. The documentary looks at seven free women who choose to remain captive in the name of love. Love with imprisoned men with whom they experience the limitations of their relationships with the hopes of one day building a family outside the prison walls.

Cativas, presas pelo coração (Captive Hearts) is followed at 21.30 byO Homem das Multidões (The Man of the Crowd) by Marcelo Gomes and Cao Guimarães, afilm that the directors say is a reflection on different kinds of solitude and friendship in Brazil´s current urban landscape.

All of the films screening in competition in Première Brasil also get screened the following afternoon in the festival pavilion which is then followed by an open debate for the general festival going public with the filmmakers and cast. The documentaries screen at 13.00 and the features at 15.00. There are also several other festival screenings of all the films in Première Brasil.
