Generating a new generation of film fans Mostra Geração, the Generation section of Festival do Rio, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year

Mostra Geração, the Generation section of Festival do Rio, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The section is where children and young people have the opportunity to see works by leading and new filmmakers from many different parts of the world, and then discuss them. It is “cinema” in all its different forms, all of them magical, engrossing and entertaining.

Mostra Geração highlights  includes the world premiere of Tizuka Yamasaki's Enchanted Amazon Island (Encantada) which will screen on Tuesday at Estação Rio 2 at 21.40. Talent expected on the red carpet with Tizuka include José Mayer, Dira Paes, Carolina Oliveira, Thiago Martins, Angelo Antonio and Leticia Sabatela

RioMarket has also not overlooked the youth of Brazil and is introducing this festival RioMarket Jovem (Young RioMarket) which will run from 4 to 7 October in the Armazem da Utopia. Youngsters intrerested in a career in filmmaking and the film industry will have a chance to attend workshops and seminars that will  be given by leading figures in the Brazilian film industry who will discuss acting, direction, costume design, screenwriting,film criticism, cinematography, and art direction.
