PortuguêsClaire Denis introduces Bastards to Rio audiences
French director Claire Denis will introduce her Un Certain Regard selected Bastards (Les Salauds), at Estação Rio 1 on Sunday at 19.00. The film will also screen at Estação Vivo Gávea 5 on Monday at 13.30 and 20.00.
Denis is something of a festival veteran having come to the attention of cinema lovers with Chocolat that premiered in Cannes in 1988. Since when she has had films screen in Torino, Locarno (where she won the Golden Leopard for Nenette and Boni, Berlin, Venice, Rotterdam and, of course, Rio de Janeiro. She also sat on the Venice Film Festival jury in 2005.
