Changes to the screening schedules

Due to the threat of further disturbances in the area around Cinelandia, where the Odeon Petrobras is located, the festival has been forced to make a number of changes to the screening schedule.

From Monday, 7 October through Wednesday, 9 October, most of the films scheduled to screen at the Odeon Petrobras will now screen at the Cinepolis Lagoon on the Lagoa, close to Ipanema, or Estação Rio. One major exception is the screening of the restored print of Bonequinha de Seda which will be held at the Odeon Petrobras on Wednesday, 9 October at 19.15 when FIPRESCI will also announce its Latin American of the Year.

The Brazilian premiere of Behind the Candelabra, that had been scheduled for midnight on Friday at the Odeon Petrobras, will now take place on Tuesday, 8 October at Estação Botafogo.
