A French woman, who initially played a child's recorder in a park and coped with her financial struggles, becoming a French teacher for two women in South Korea. She finds solace in lying down on rocks and relies on makkeolli (Korean rice wine) for comfort. Grand Jury Prize Berlin 2024.
Hong Sang-soo
Hong Sang-soo was born in 1960 in South Korea. Quite prolific, he is known for films like Night and Day (2008), In Another Country (2012), Right Now, Wrong Then (2015), and The Day After (2017). Hahaha (2010) was awarded at Cannes. The Woman Who Ran (2020), Introduction (2021), and The Novelist's Film (2022) were awarded at the Berlin Film Festival.
