In a war-torn region, young Middle Eastern artists struggle to express themselves freely and to promote progressive ideas within the conservative society in which they live. During the Arab Spring, many of them took the streets with ambitious dreams. Today, much farther away from their plans than they would have liked, these young people face old problems and live between the disappointment and the vague hope of a better future. The most influential and progressive artists in the Arab world reveal here their dreams and fears in a time of many promises and little change in their society.
