Pierre-Yves Borgeaud
Born in 1963, in Monthey, Switzerland. He graduated in Arts at the University of Lausanne, in 1990, and worked as a freelance journalist, writing about music and film. He played the drums in jazz and funk groups and worked as a music producer. His first feature, Ixiexme: Diary of a Prisoner (2003), won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival. In 2008, he released Return to Goree, a documentary starring Senegalese star Youssou N’Dour.
