Documentary inviting reflection on the questions which have shaped Latin America. Here, the peoples, who are often treated like the somewhat unruly occupants of the United States' backyard, have their civilisational proposals and their struggles related by North-American linguist and political analyst, Noam Chomsky and Brazilian diplomat Celso Amorim. In the film, they analyse nearly a century of history and cast a light on the key events of this journey, looking for openings which indicate a more just and plural Latin America.
