Tehran, 1988. Shideh lives in the chaos of the Iran-Iraq War. After being accused of subversive behavior, she was kicked out of medical school and, while her husband is away in combat, she needs to take care of her daughter Dorsa by herself. A missile hits the building where they live, but doesn’t explode. Shortly after, Dorsa becomes very ill and begins acting disturbingly. Searching for answers, Shideh finds out that the missile may have carried a Djinn, an evil spirits that travels with the wind, a supernatural force that is trying to take Dorsa over. Sundance, 2016.

He is Iranian-born and based in London, England. Since the age of 16 he has directed short films, including Two & Two (2011), which was nominated for a BAFTA for best short film. This is his first feature film as a director.
