Isabel Coixet

Spanish filmmaker born in 1960, she premiered as director and writer in Demasiado Viejo para Morir Joven (1989). Later won greater recognition with the romantic comedy Things I Never Told You (1996). Won the Goya for Best Direction for The Secret Life of Words (2005) and The Bookshop (2007). Directed and wrote My Life Without Me (2003) and Map of the Sounds of Tokyo (2009), que competed in Venice and Cannes, respectively.
