When Julian receives an unexpected visit from Tomas, a childhood friend, it is a bittersweet encounter. That is because this meeting, their first in years, will also be their last. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, Julian decides to give up treatment to focus on setting his affairs straight: distributing his assets, finishing preparations for his funeral and finding a home for his beloved dog Truman. Por Krámpack, recebeu o Prêmio Especial da Juventude no Festival de Cannes 2000 e o prêmio FIPRESCI no Festival de Chicago, entre outros. Dirigiu ainda Ficció (2006), melhor filme no Festival de Mar del Plata, e Na cidade (2003), exibido no Festival de Toronto e vencedor de um prêmio Goya. Seu O que os homens falam (2012) foi exibido no Festival de Toronto.
