​Vincent is a French soldier in the special forces who has been suffering from PTSD since he returned from Afghanistan. Despite his condition, he takes a job as a bodyguard for Jessie, the wife of a rich Lebanese businessman who lives in the luxurious village of Maryland. As the days go by, Vincent begins to develop a strange fascination for Jessie, and the feeling soon becomes paranoia and fear. His only chance of not succumbing to the insanity is discovering that the danger he sees is real. Un Certain Regard selection, Cannes Film Festival 2015.​

Alice Winocour

Alice Winocour

​Born in Paris in 1976, she has a master’s in scriptwriting at La Fémis Cinema School. Her first short film, Kitchen (2005), was shown at the Cannes Festival competition. She has worked as a writer for several films, including Ordinary People (2009), shown at Critics’ Week; and Mustang, Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes 2015. Her first feature, Augustine (2012), took part in Critics’ Week at Cannes.​
