In the dead of night, Renuka escapes from a Delhi brothel after stabbing a policeman to death. She takes refuge in a community of sex workers in northern India, where she meets Devika, a young girl. Their meeting quickly evolves into a forbidden romance and they set out on a perilous journey in search of liberty and fleeing the law. Best actress award for Anasuya Sengupta at Un Certain Regard Cannes 2024.
Konstantin Bojanov
Born in 1968, is an award-winning Bulgarian-American film director, screenwriter, and visual artist. He began his filmmaking career with the acclaimed documentaries Lemon Is Lemon (2001) and Invisible (2005). His feature debut, Avé (2011), made its mark at Cannes Critics’ Week and garnered over 20 international awards. His subsequent film, Light Thereafter (2017), premiered in the Official Competition of Rotterdam
