It is Christmas Eve in Los Angeles and Sin-Dee is back in the neighborhood after spending 28 days behind bars. Upon hearing that her boyfriend, a pimp, wasn’t faithful while she was away, she and her best friend, Alexandra, set off on a mission to determine the truthfulness of these scandalous rumors. Their mission takes them on a journey through the many subcultures of Los Angeles, including an Armenian family and their very particular way of dealing with infidelity. Starring transsexual actresses, the film was entirely shot with iPhones. Official selection, Sundance Film Festival 2015.
Sean Baker
Born in New York, he graduated in film from NYU. In 2000, he directed his first feature, Four Letter Words, and became known in the American independent film scene with Take Out (2004). He won the Grand Jury Prize at the Los Angeles Film Festival and a special mention in Locarno for Prince of Broadway (2008). He wrote and directed the TV series Warren the Ape (2010) for MTV. He won the junior jury Award in Locarno for Starlet (2012).
