Since the beginning of 2015, the Ta'ang, an ethnic minority of Burma, has been going through a civil of war in the country's border with China. Since then, violent conflicts have forced thousands of children, women, and the elderly to leave the region and live across the border. The most recent documentary by master Wang Bing follows the routine of these refugees and the shared hope of a soon return home. They roam the remote mountains, camping in makeshift tents, and talking around the campfire. Counting on each other, they aren’t afraid. Berlin and Locarno Film Festivals, 2016.
