A woman returns to her home village in the mountains, looking for answers related to traumatic events in her childhood. Her investigation of the unknown past, however, stirs up old superstitions that lead the villagers to accuse her of witchcraft and murder. Winner of the Filmmakers of the Present Award at the 2022 Locarno Festival.

Filmmaker and actress born in 1988 in Slovakia. Her first film was the documentary Jezís Je Normální! (2008). Her first fictional feature film, Filthy (2017) earned her dozens of international awards, and her documentary Meciar (2017) sparked a great debate about corruption and populism in Slovakia.
