A traditional Brazilian country ball orchestra, the SuperOara, enlivens debutante parties filled with vaporous dresses and vibrant colors. Meanwhile, the ‘Sertão’, a mythical land in Brazilians’ imaginations, is transformed into a landscape of great constructions, to the rhythm of machines and workers. With the atmosphere of a fable, this documentary is a cutout of a contemporary Brazilian backland, where few privileged people celebrate while, the less fortunate, animals included, dance, sing, but are not invited to the party.
