Inspired by Dark Side of the Rainbow – that superimposes Pink Floyd’s classic Dark Side of the Moon onto the film Wizard of Oz – the director uses old family VHS tapes to build a machine of visual time. In this kind of block of audiovisual annotations, the director synchronizes, repeats, rewinds and accelerates the images known to all his contemporaries in order to map their emotional memory. Using scenes from the series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the music video Thriller, the film Ghostbusters, among others, this is a film about how the media shapes our aesthetics.
