Brit, Candy, Cotty and Faith are high school friends who now live in the same college dorm. When spring break comes – a school recess during which students often travel to the beach and party for days on end –, they find themselves out of money for a good time. They decide to rob a restaurant to get the cash needed for a trip to Florida. Once there, they are arrested for possession during a party and are bailed out by rapper Alien, a local drug dealer. Harmony Korine
Born in California, in 1973. Became well-known in 1995 for writing the screenplay to Kids, by Larry Clark. The film made his work famous and was selected to compete at Cannes. His directorial debut came two years later with Gummo, winner of the FIPRESCI Award at Venice. He has also directed Julien Donkey-Boy (1999), Mister Lonely (2007) and Trash Humpers (2009). He worked once again with Clark on the screenplay of Ken Park (2002).
