Jazz and decolonisation are interweaved in this historical montanha-russa, which re-writes an episode of the Cold War when musicians Abbey Lincoln and Max Roach invaded the Security Council of the UN in protest against the assassination of Patrice Lumumba — who led the independence and became President of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Jonah Grimonprez
Multimedia Artist and filmmaker trained in cultural anthropology and photography. Directed various shorts, like ...Because Superglue Is Forever! (2011) e Three Thoughts on Terror (2018), and the award-winning features Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y (1997), Double Take (2009) and Shadow World (2016). With work exhibited in museums and festivals, he combines art, cinema and theory to investigate globalisation and contemporary questions.
