Monia Chokri
Trained at Montreal’s Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, Monia Chokri is an actress, screenwriter, and director. La Femme de Mon Frère (2019), her first feature film, was hailed in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival. She has acted for several filmmakers, including Denys Arcand and Claire Simon, but Xavier Dolan's Les Amours Imaginaires (2010) brought her notoriety. Her second feature film, Babysitter (2022) was screened at the Sundance Festival.
