Trailer
Holy Week, around 1900, somewhere in Romania. The tense relationship between the Jewish innkeeper Leiba and Gheorghe, his Christian employee, ends with the latter's expulsion. Vindictive, Gheorghe promises to return on Easter Night to “settle” his accounts. This threat comes as the last straw for Leiba’s attempts
to cohabit with this hostile, anti-Semitic environment. From then on, he will struggle to distinguish between the real danger and the one fabricated by his anxieties, engaging in a path of transformation which will lead to extreme consequences. Forum Berlim 2024.
