Trailer
Democratic Kampuchea (Cambodia today), 1978. Three French journalists are invited by the Khmer Rouge to conduct an exclusive interview with the leader, Pol Pot. Everything seems calm, but in fact the regime is declining and the war with Vietnam threatens the country with invasion. Seeking culprits, the government secretly carries out a genocide. The beautiful picture of the nation cracks before the journalists' eyes, revealing the horror. Freely inspired by the book When The War Was Over : Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge Revolution by Elizabeth Becker. Cannes Première 2024.
