Lyon, 1961. The Algerian War is coming to an end. Emile, 12 years old, lives with his mother and father, the latter a mythomaniac who incarnates various professions for his son, including that of adviser to General Charles de Gaulle, President of France. The boy's life gets complicated when his father gives him supposed secret and dangerous missions to help save Algeria.
Jean-Pierre Améris
Born in 1961, Jean-Pierre Améris began his filmmaking career with the short Interim (1988). His first feature film was Le Bateau de Mariage (1994) and his filmography includes, among others, Bad Company (1999), C'est la vie (2001), Romantics Anonymous (2010), The Man Who Laughs (2012), and Marie's Story (2014).
