Peter von Kant is a film director who lives with his assistant, Karl, whom he likes to abuse and humiliate. Sidonie, an actress who was his muse for many years, introduces him to Amir, a handsome and modest young man. Peter falls in love with Amir and offers his apartment as a shelter, as well as helping him to get into the film industry. When the plan works, Amir dumps Peter. Inspired by The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant (1972), by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Official selection of the 2022 Berlin Film Festival.
François Ozon
