Filmed between Salvador and Rio, the documentary brings together archive footage and exclusive interviews with Maria Bethânia, Dori Caymmi, Russo Passapusso and Nelson Motta. A tribute to a classic that transformed Brazilian music.
Emílio Domingos
Filmmaker, anthropologist, researcher, screenwriter and producer. He makes documentaries and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). A graduate of social science from UFRJ with an emphasis on visual anthropology , urban culture and youth. He directed the features L.A.P.A. (2007), A Batalha do Passinho (2012), Deixa na Régua (2016), Favela é Moda (2019), Black Rio! Black Power! (2023) and Chic Show (2023).
