Frustrated and depressed after a long time leading a human day to day existence, vampire Adam reunites with Eve, his lover of centuries, so they can take a romantic trip riddled with mundane pleasures from Detroit to Tangiers. The duo’s love story has been going on for centuries, but their new projects are soon interrupted by the arrival of Ava, Eve’s uncontrollable younger sister. Unimpressed by her hosts’ code of conduct, the young vampire quickly puts to the test some ancient vampire laws. Official selection at the Cannes Film Festival 2013.
Jim Jarmusch
Born in Ohio, US, in 1953. A filmmaking graduate at NYU, his feature-length directorial debut was 1980s Permanent Vacation. After Stranger Than Paradise (1984) and Down By Law (1986), he became one of the great names of north-american indie cinema. Other career highlights include Ghost Dog (1999) and Coffee and Cigarettes (2006). In 2005, he won the jury prize at Cannes for Broken Flowers.
