Two prisoners, veteran Tatang and young, impudent Daniel, are part of an underground operation which utilizes inmates as professional hit men. Their position as inmates makes for perfect alibis, as they carry out crimes orchestrated by a mob that involves gangsters, penitentiary agents and corrupt government officials. But when a politician is killed during his campaign, policeman Francis is slated to investigate the case. He then discovers a web of intrigue which may lead to tragedy. Based on a true story. Erik Matti
Born in the Philippines. Started his career in the 1990s, working on several fronts, such as screenwriting, production, acting and directing. For Magic Temple (1996) he got an award for best screenplay at the Metro Manila Film Festival. He started his filmmaking career with the feature Scorpio Nights 2 (1998), and went on to direct several films of different genres. He also directed films such as The Arrival (2010) and Rigodon (2012).
