Trailer

When little Joel, only one year old, is diagnosed with terminal cancer, Ryan, his father, begins to develop an unusual and poetic video game in his honor. This film follows Ryan’s family during the making of the game, and in the day-to-day reality of Joel’s treatment. The result is a unique testament to the power of art, in an analysis of the grieving process through 21st Century technology and about the implications of documenting a profound human experience through a new media: a video game. Screened at the Tribeca Film Festival 2015 competition.
