Juvenal is a subway machinist in Belo Horizonte. Margô controls the flow of the trains. They both live in a state of deep loneliness – each in their own way. This film is a reflection on different kinds of solitude and friendship in Brazilian urban landscape.
Marcelo Gomes, Cao Guimarães
Cao works at the crossroads of film and visual arts. His works have been shown in prestigious Guggenheim Museum, Tate Modern and MoMA. Marcelo is the director of feature Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures (2005), shown in Cannes, among others. He co-directed I Travel Because I Have to, I Come Back Because I Love You (2009), best director and cinematography at Festival do Rio. In 2012, he won the Brasília Festival with Once Upon a Time Was I, Verônica.
