Roberto, an unpublished author, is confident that the birth of his child is the turning point to a new life. However, his dream gets a bitter taste and he will have to get used to a new idea: being the father of Fabrício, a child with Down syndrome. After receiving the news, Roberto experiences a flood of conflicting emotions. He seems to be embarrassed about the situation and dissatisfied with his professional developments and his relationship with Cláudia. In a 12 year journey, conflicts and findings will reveal the meaning of fatherhood.

Born in São Paulo in 1967. His first film, A Soccer Story (1998), was an Oscar nominee for best short film. In 2009, he released Natimorto, his first feature, an adaptation of Lourenço Mutarelli’s book. In 2014, he directed Trinta, with Matheus Nachtergaele as the carnivalesque Joãosinho Trinta. In 2013, he directed four episodes of the TV show PSI, an HBO original series.
