Claudio Bandeira is a successful entrepreneur, surrounded by beautiful women, but who lives harassed by the discomfort of daily life and his own mortality. His dreams are tormented by The Messenger and he seeks to escape reality through his friendship with a trickster played by Hugo Carvana. The narrative, fragmented and influenced by comics, enhances the world of the character's physical and mental uncertainties. At that time, Brazil lived through the darkest period of the military dictatorship and even thinking was uncomfortable.
Antonio Calmon
Film director, screenwriter and author of soap operas, worked with Cinema Novo filmmakers until 1971, the year in which he debuted with the feature Captain Redeye vs Dr Drops. He built a work marked by the plurality of genres, with 12 feature films presenting as a common trait, a certain preference for focusing on the dead-end hero, tormented by the demands and circumstances of the world around him.
