In May 2022, for three days the Museum of the Portuguese Language was occupied by a series of talks, concerts, and classes. What happened in those days became the subject matter of this documentary. This is an essay on the powers and dangers of words. A graffiti artist who gave us our title; the Krenak activist who rebuilt his culture; a wise Yanomami shaman: those are some of the voices in this film strictly shot inside the Museum of the Portuguese Language.
Felipe Hirsch
Felipe Hirsch is a Brazilian film and theater director. He has been elected as one of the most influential thinkers in the country (O Globo). In 2008, he won the Grammy for “Homage to Tom Jobim”. In 2009, he directed his first feature film, Sunstroke, which premiered at Venice Film Festival. In 2016, he released Severina, at Locarno Festival.
