Nader, is a new schoolteacher in a small, remote Saudi Arabian village. A secret artist, because all artistic expression has been banned in the country, he gets to know Norah, a young woman who rekindles his creativity and inspires him to paint again. At great risk, they form a delicate connection, with Nader introducing Norah to the world beyond her small community, prompting her to seek a place where she can freely express her artistic self. Tawfik Alzaidi
Saudi director based in Riyadh, he is a key figure in the new wave of Saudi cinema. He has directed many prize-winning shorts like The Fabricated Crime (2007), The Silence (2009), Exit (2010), Four Colors (2015) and The Other(2015). Norah is his first feature film.
