Musical documentary which seeks the traces left by the composer in the neighbourhood of Vila Isabel, in Rio de Janeiro. The artist died aged 26, in 1937, leaving a legacy of nearly 250 songs. The film creates parallels between past and present, above all through the way in which samba and the personality of Noel Rosa are linked to this day in the area of his creative birthplace. Voices of ancient partners, like Cartola, Aracy de Almeida and Marília Batista, join with present day singers, like Dori Caymmi, Moacyr Luz, Mart'nália and Edu Krieger, among others.
