The National Ballet Company of Portugal is celebrating its 40th anniversary. From the start, it has interpreted great classics and consistently incorporated contemporary creations. The daily routine is rigorous for dancers, choreographers, musicians, teachers, seamstresses, light and sound technicians, and other diverse professionals on staff that allows the dance to move through the rehearsal rooms and stretch through the hallways until it reaches the stage. This film follows not only the company’s creations and premieres, but especially the quiet and structural work of each dancer.
