Growing up in Sandton – a suburb of Johannesburg with Africa’s highest concentration of millionaires – means spending most of your time at swimming pools and parties full of drugs. Jabz and September, both twentysomething, drift around this world, philosophising about their empty existence. When Emily, a friend of the pair, live streams her suicide, Jabz and September are forced to confront a hard truth that cannot be ignored. A thrilling portrait of South African youth post-apartheid. Berlin Film Festival 2015.
