Nahid, a young divorcee, lives with her 10-year-old son in a small city by the Caspian Sea. According to Iranian law, custody over children is granted to the father after a divorce. In this case, however, he agreed to give in to his ex-wife on the condition that she did not remarry. Nahid’s encounter with another man will change her life as a mother and as a woman. This is the first Iranian film to discuss divorced women and to reflect on child custody rigths. Winner of the Promising Future Prize at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard in 2015.
