This is the story of Julita, an 81-year-old matriarch whose three childhood wishes have come true: having several children, a monkey and a castle in Spain. When her youngest son discovers that his mother has lost his murdered great-grandmother’s vertebra, kept by three generations, the family conducts a thorough search amidst the most peculiar and strange objects that Julita has accumulated throughout her life, revealing a picturesque family history. Now Julita is about to find the true meaning of life. Screened at the 2017 San Sebastian and Toronto festivals.

Nasceu em 1970, em Madri. Tem uma extensa carreira como ator, em filmes como La ardilla roja (1993), Gente en sitios (2013) e V/H/S Viral (2014), entre outros. Em 2001, dirigiu o curta-metragem Desaliñada, que ganhou o Goya de melhor filme na categoria. Este é seu primeiro longa.
