Matthew Morgan, an English widower, found happiness again the day young Pauline stretched out her hand to help him get inside a bus. A stubborn, grumpy professor, he suddenly regains his curiosity about life during his walks through parks and trips to the country, always accompanied by the beautiful Pauline. This new relationship brings Matthew a new sense to the word "family". He decides to reconnect with his son Miles, who is soon touched by the changes in his father. Sandra Nettelbeck
Born in Hamburg, in 1966. She graduated in 16mm production at the San Francisco State University. Back in her hometown, she directed TV movies Unbeständig und Kühl (1994) and Mammamia (1996). She achieved worldwide acclaim with Mostly Martha (2001), remade in the US. Then came children’s movie Sergeant Pepper (2004) and Helen (2009).
