Controversial director Kim Ki-duk (Pieta and 3-Iron) is back with a troubled family chronicle, a mix of psychological thriller, grotesque comedy and wicked ode to BDSM. In this metaphor for our contemporary obsession with sexuality, led by nameless characters and no dialogue, the Korean director follows a fight between a couple arguing over the husband's infidelity while their son watches on. The conflict gives way to a chain of violent events, climaxing in a dramatic epilogue of destruction. Venice and Toronto film festivals 2013.
