A film about an attempt to make a film. Mambembe recovers a film of 2010 about a travelling surveyor who meets up with three women from a mambembe circus. The film reflects on chance through the stories of these characters while simultaneously considering artistic construction.
Fabio Meira
Director, screenwriter and producer. Born in Goiânia, began to work in cinema as Ruy Guerra's assistant. His first feature, As Duas Irenes (2017), was launched in Berlin and awarded both nationally and internationally. Among his shorts and medium-length films, a mention for the documentary Pátria, made for ESPN Brasil in 2013, and Atlântico, awarded at Toulouse Festival 2010. In 2023, he launched the feature Tia Virgínia, awarded at Gramado, SESC Best Films and APCA.
