After engaging in a violent robbery at a gas station, rebel Tano is forced to move from the capital to southern Chile and live under the care of his father, whom he has not seen in years. In his new school, he meets Cheo, a shy boy who is ashamed of his Indian origins. Together, they will learn to face their struggle: while Tano becomes more tolerant and calm, Cheo finds the strength to assert his identity. A reflection on the Mapuche conflicts and the daily routine of a violent community portrayed through the story of a friendship.

Nasceu no Chile e tem origem Mapuche. Estudou audiovisual na Universidade Católica do Chile. Seu primeiro curta-metragem, San Juan, la noche más larga (2012), recebeu uma menção especial no Festival de Clermont-Ferrand, na França. Para TV, dirigiu as séries Maulinos: el barrio y sus caminos e La celebración. Este é seu primeiro longa-metragem como diretora.
