Trailer

Five women from different generations of the same family, run an ancient family hotel on Portugal's northern shore, trying to save it from its inevitable decay. An ancient, maybe irreparable, conflict weighs them down: they are mothers incapable of loving their daughters. When young Salomé arrives at the hotel, old grievances resurge. Living together in the same, somewhat claustrophobic, space causes a disturbance that revives latent hatred and piled-up resentments. Winner of the Jury Prize at the 2023 Berlinale.
