The Assassin strolls through a threatening world of tortured souls, decadent bunkers and ghastly monstrosities formed from the most primordial horrors do subconscious. Going deeper and deeper into the nightmare kingdom, he gradually reaches his final destiny: the heart of this grotesque tower of scourge. Each scenario, creature and figure of the film was hand-crafted and meticulousally animated, over 30 years, using traditional stop motion techniques.
Phil Tippett
Pioneer in animation and visual effects, with a careera of more than 45 years. Founder of Tippett Studios, won two Oscars, a BAFTA, two Emmys and the Winsor McCay and Georges Méliès awards. Oscar winner for the effects of Star Wars: Episode 6 (1983) and Jurassic Park (1993), he used his innovatory "go motion" technique in films like RoboCop (1987). He directed Tropas Estelares 2 (2004).
